I grew up inside this business. My grandmother was the main teacher for many families in the small community where I was raised. She ran her own small preschool, with homeschooling and after school activities, and sustained herself on it for decades. I watched where it worked and where it broke. She represents millions of women around the world who could make a living this way if the hard parts were handled for them.

I have built schools and helped others open theirs. I founded Empathy School Bali in 2020, where this curriculum was written and tested with children every day since. I helped open a nature based daycare in the mountains of North Carolina. My career began teaching refugees.
