How is Harness different from ASK?
Harness helps your team create the curriculum and teaching materials. ASK helps teachers understand the available preschool curriculum, prepare lessons and rehearse teaching. Saving or exporting a Harness draft does not automatically add it to ASK.
Can we use our own curriculum and age groups?
Yes. Start from your own source material, age group and learning goals. Your team checks that the result fits the learners and requirements in your setting. Empathy’s existing curriculum library currently focuses on preschool.
Who can lead curriculum creation?
A curriculum director, founder, school leader or educator may lead the work. Harness starts with your teaching purpose and team’s decisions; your workspace access determines which drafts you can open and edit.
Do we have to finish a whole year?
No. Start with a framework, then develop the module, term or selected sessions you need. You can return to saved work and build further.
Does saving a draft publish it?
No. Your draft stays within its permitted workspace access. Reviewing or exporting it does not publish it to the public curriculum library or make it available in ASK.
Can Harness make teacher KPI spreadsheets?
Yes. Give it your criteria and the structure you want. The file workspace can create or revise an Excel workbook, including a teacher KPI template. Review formulas and scoring before use; staff make performance decisions.
What can we upload and download?
The file workspace accepts Excel, Word, PDF, text, Markdown, CSV and supported images as references. It produces Excel and Word files with saved versions. Some complex workbook features are not supported; Word files are rebuilt into a clean layout rather than preserving every design detail.
Is Harness included with the other apps?
Harness is separately priced alongside the core school software package. Ask for a US-dollar quote based on your team’s creation needs and AI usage. The core package includes Beacon, Teacher, Parent, Enrol, Rhythm and ASK.
