Learn with test examples
Try a supported task in isolated examples before returning to your real school.
Before you begin
Use an authorised Beacon account. Check the active mode before working with a record.
Step by step
- If offered, choose Open test examples. Otherwise open Settings → Test examples and turn the examples on.
- Check the Test examples banner before touching a record.
- Choose Attendance, Children, Classes, Daily notes or Photos; these are the currently supported screens.
- Try a small demonstration task and check the saved example. Child detail pages and the other office areas are outside this practice journey.
- If a screen is blocked, return to a supported screen. Do not switch to real school simply to finish a practice step.
- When you intend to return to live work, choose Open my real school, then check the school and mode again.
Check the result
You have practised a supported task and can identify which mode is active.
A useful check
Test examples support Attendance, Children, Classes, Daily notes and Photos. Child profiles and other office areas are outside this practice journey.
If the result is different, check the account and school first, then contact the team with the task and error wording.
